Thrace Thiscerry

This is Thrace, a Pirate Lord in the same storyverse as the Never Ever kids. He's fun, and growing on me every day. He didn't have face or name till last night. Troublesome, cheeky bastard he is.

He IS NOT an elf. They are similar to elves, what he is, and I only say so because that is the easiest and nearest comparison to established fantasy tradition I can give you. But don't be fooled by the pointed ears. NOT AN ELF.

I actually INKED this!! By HAND! Me!! Thrace just sort of.... demanded to be inked. I think it's his coloring--pale skin and dramatic black hair and eyes plus penchant for dark clothing. Yeah, he knows how to strike an effect.

Edit: Clarifying the non-elf matter. Thrace is three-quarters lu'an, a fey-like race of immortals, one-quarter human. The mixed blood is why his ears are pointed. Full-blooded lu'an have ears of a very similar shape to humans'; it is a telltale genetic trait of those with mortal blood.

His "impure" heritage would once have Thrace despised and ostracized among his people, but political currents in the Lu'an courts are ever shifting in these times, and Thrace is graced with the luck of not actually living among his people. As the Pirate Lord who controls the waters off the coast of the Lu'an lands, they are happy to claim him with the caveat of also claiming they will only accept one of their own blood to claim rulership of their waters. The reality is something rather different, but isn't it always?
